Hillary for President! (No, Really...)

Yes, Hillary, you've earned your turn.
I hope she runs. Like many of you, I think it's absurd to be talking about 2016 because it's supposed to be absurd to be talking about 2016. Then again, isn't EVERYONE doing it?

The reason I bring this up is this op-ed in The Week, a magazine I used to get in paper form for its great summation of the week's news but now get as an email link. The point of the article is that it's bad that Hillary Clinton might run because Bush-Bush-Clinton-Clinton-Bush-Bush-(Obama)-Clinton, yadayadayada.

Nice portrait. See, I can be nice.
But here's the deal: None of that matters, our democracy is safe. Hillary Clinton is whip-smart, seasoned, measured, experienced, and, I expect, courageous. Petty blunders aside, she'd make a good, possibly great, president, and she's a woman, too.

We broke the color barrier with Obama, and we can break the gender barrier with Clinton and have a serviceable president in the bargain. And getting rid of glass ceilings, and boxes, and closets is, apparently, contagious. Let's get this thing done.

I admit I don't like Jeb Bush partly because of W., and that might not be fair. But when I think of a Jeb Bush presidency, I think meh. I almost don't think at all. I have trouble sleeping, but thinking of Jeb Bush? zzzzzzzzzzz....
